They have agreed to boost oil trade.

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/...iyadh.html

No known news about Saudi has accepted the proposal to trade in Yuan although it did say to consider it in March

https://www.wsj.com/articles/saudi-arabi...1647351541

It is unlikely for Yuan to threaten the USD position in the Foreign Exchange transactions in the foreseeable future as USD still dominates the Foreign Exchange transaction

The more significant one is accepting RMB for oil purchase.

Saudi abandons petrodollar, the sole currency for oil trading.

China only imports about 2 million barrels per day from Saudis.  @ 70 per barrel,  ie roughly USD 140 million per day.  The USD foreign exchange transaction is about USD 5.8 Trillion per day in 2019.

Xí Jìnpíng 习近平 told Gulf Arab leaders today that China would work to buy oil and gas in yuan, a move that would support Beijing’s goal to establish its currency internationally and weaken the U.S. dollar’s grip on world trade.
.....

A Saudi source, speaking before Xi’s visit, told Reuters that a decision to sell small amounts of oil in yuan to China could make sense in order to pay Chinese imports directly, but “it is not yet the right time”. Most of Saudi Arabia’s assets and reserves are in dollars including more than $120 billion of U.S. Treasuries that Riyadh holds, and the Saudi riyal, like other Gulf currencies, is pegged to the dollar.

Yes Xijp    wants to pay for Saudi oil in rmb, but currently all oil exported from the M-E are in US dollars.  Therefore whether the Saudi want to be paid in rmb is still a question mark....... Thinking

Most of Saudi Arabia asserts and reserves are in US dollars including more than US120 billion of US treasuries that Riyadh holds.  Therefore it is only logical that the Saudi's wants to trade in US dollars........ Laughing Clapping
