The problem is not everyone bothers to "think"Â
Was THINKING about the Relation of Water and Humanity..
It seems through out History, those civilisations that has either gone or disappeared were those that failed in finding and controlling Water resource...
So in order for Humanity to thrive beyond Earth, it is obvious the 1st skill set to master aside from oxygen and food is extraterrestrial H2O

Errr,,,Please read the report details - NASA test objective is find ways to generate O2 , not H2O.
Also the report says NASA uses volcanic mineral from Hawaii, not the actual Moon regolith, which the Chinese team did using samples collected from Chang'e 5.
Quote:The field test was performed with volcanic ash known as Tephra on Mauna Kea volcano on the Big Island of Hawai'i. The tephra has similar properties to lunar regolith, so that it is regarded as a good simulant for the hydrogen reduction process.
