Some smart alex here should go and tell silly TSMC and SamSung that US is trying to steal their technology. If they wanted to join US because of the USD50 billion, Commie China got plenty of such money. Dong Minzhu already said she is willing to pay 50 billion for the chip development. How come these 2 stupid companies never take it up?

芯片巨头美光：成功绕过了EUV光刻技术
本周美光宣布，采用全球最先进1β(1-beta)制造工艺的DRAM内存芯片已经送样给部分手机制造商、芯片平台合作伙伴进行验证，并做好了量产准备。
1β工艺可将能效提高约15％，存储密度提升35％以上，单颗裸片(Die)容量高达16Gb(2GB)。
一个值得关注的点是，美光称，1β绕过了EUV（极紫外光刻）工具，而依然采用的是DUV（深紫外光刻）。
这意味着相较于三星、SK海力士，美光需要更复杂的设计方案。毕竟，DRAM的先进性很大程度上取决于每平方毫米晶圆面积上集成更多更快半导体的能力，各公司目前通过不断缩小电路面积来进行竞争。
同时，美光的产品最终在成本上或许也会更具比较优势。
据悉，美光已经在LPDDR5X移动内存上率先应用1β工艺，还使用了第二代HKMG(高K金属栅极)工艺，最高速率8.5Gbps(等效于8500MHz)。
