From UkraiMyanmar rebels claim they shot down a government Mi-17 helicopter with an FPV drone.
Atactic developed by Ukraine to attack helicopters with small drones has apparently found its way to the jungles of the war-torn nation of Myanmar. Rebels fighting Myanmar’s junta say they used a first-person view (FPV) drone to down an Mi-17 Hip transport helicopter attempting to land with supplies. The government, however, claims the helicopter crashed due to mechanical failure. Regardless, the claimed attack is nothing out of the realm of possibility. There are rapidly evolving threats to helicopters in combat zones, including from lower-end drones, raising concerns about degradation in their utility on future battlefields.
Video emerged on social media showing the video feed of what purports to be an FPV drone operated by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) careening toward the helicopter, which was hovering just a few feet off the ground at the time. The video cuts off as the FPV drone gets right next to the helicopter’s rotor blades. The video then shows a different angle of what appears to be a small explosion amongst the Mi-17’s rotors. The helicopter reportedly later crashed a short distance away, killing everyone on board.

As Myanmar’s oldest ethnic armed organization, the Karen National Union (KNU) has played a pivotal role in the country’s popular armed revolt against military rule, providing a strong foundation for Spring Revolution forces.
Various ethnic armed groups – including the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) in the north, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) in the northeast, the Arakan Army (AA) in the west, and the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) in the south, and the KNU in Karen State – have collaborated with People’s Defense Forces (PDFs), training, arming and helping them gain combat experience.
The Karen State theater is crucial for revolutionary forces in southern Myanmar, including Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Mon, and Tanintharyi.

Furthermore, the regional leaders’ statement on an extended ro leaders further called for “sustained extension & nationwide expansion of the ceasefire in Myanmar is a fake in reality as the junta has consistently violated the truce from the start. Insteady it would be helpful for Myanmar if ASEAN went beyond 5PC & took some serious actions against junta regime. For eg, why doesn’t the bloc crack down on junta’s aviation fuel supply chain, in which companies of some member states are involved? Without fuel, junta’s fleet of fighter jets would be grounded??? (The junta is fully back by Putin and China). Can capable of launching air raids against civilians.
?Why?. doesn’t ASEAN companies in the region stop trade with junta? & stop effectively cripple regime by cutting off key sources of its revenue. Such moves they are trying to pressure on junta by making it harder for it to survive, also help move currently stalled resolution mechanism for Myanmar’s crisis forward. (Like drinking water???) As

Can capable of launching air raids against civilians. Meanwhile. It was one of the biggest rebel victories of the four-year civil war in Myanmar. Thousands of resistance fighters from half a dozen rebel armies took the city of Lashio and overran a military command center 75 miles from the Chinese border.
Noted: Facing junta artillery & airstrikes, rebels attacked with small arms, rocket-propelled grenades & drones, ultimately they are winning in intense street fight. Here the rebels head get to learned to get organise in a real fighting force that can beat up a more better junta force, but this triumph in August came at a cost of more than 500 fighters killed, the rebels said, lesson will pull the rebels into a better organised force to fight against junta force in future battle.
But here, a stunning reversal, resistance forces quietly abandoned Lashio, in northern Shan State, without a shot fired & handed their hard-won territory back to junta. A military convoy of 200 vehicles flying the national flag rolled into city in late April reclaimed control.
Rebel leaders say sudden withdrawal was result of pressure from red China.
China intervening in civil war to help the junta, rebel leaders and analysts say is to protect Beijing financial interests in Myanmar that worth billions of dollars, including pipelines & transport crude oil and natural gas nearly 500 miles from Bay of Bengal to China & infrastructure projects being built under umbrella of the Belt and Road Initiative.
