My place has many of such selfish families. They use the grass patch the size of 3 bedrooms outside their flat to plant fruits and vegetable. They put sofa and swings along the corridor till no one can walk.

If you're fed up with stuff like this happening, maybe don't leave valuable furniture outside where it's easy to grab. I got mine locked down after seeing a similar case, but if you're looking to replace or upgrade outdoor pieces, check it out — they’ve got plenty of choices and reasonable prices.

If worried about people taking, just chain lock it, until people complain?

Report town council. It’s a safe hazard. If fire breaks out no one can escape.

What would you do if your neighbour put a large sofa along the corridor? Especially one which is old, dirty and ugly?
