Those rich people who bought prior to Fed rates hike

like some last year already paid full in cash

no mortgage at all

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Better raise to 6% same as US rate….
Then this will make Sg property back to affordable price. No more cheap loan for the rich.

Cheap loan is a suicidal move.
It will make rich become richer, poor become poorer.

UOB gives 2.6% before the recent announcement of 3/4 percent rate hike. Will the local banks give higher than 2.6% few weeks later?

Those who take loan at the time when they encourage you to take because of low interest rates might be stuck. If the renewal is up now, the interest rates will jump.

Cannot use one bamboo sweep all mah.

Cheap loans ish still good for low SES and peasant kia that just want a HDB's root over head for 99yrs rather than a quick get lich scheme.

This start to become a problem after our higher mortals want to use HDB to help sinkie become millionaires, then HDB cost also start to skyrocketing which mean bigger loan sinkie would have to take up to pay for their flat and thus becoming more vulnerable to such rate adjustment. If not last time most sinkie seldom got such problem and woes over interest rate one. In those dazes even those few low SES type that can't pay their already low HDB loan ish can go see MP and get to delay their payment by few more months and even a year also have.

Beside there ish also a salary requirement too for people to choose HDB loan over bank loan so not say ish really a choice for many. Last time ish below 3K, only few years ago then they adjust this up to <5K but still very young sinkie couple ish cannot qualify and die die make to take bank loan even if their intension ish not want to pray properties.

There was a time when the country asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things.

But now, they'll only do it for money.
