DeepSeek GPU smuggling probe shows Nvidia's Singapore GPU sales are 28%

"DeepSeek GPU smuggling probe shows Nvidia's Singapore GPU sales are 28% of its revenue, but only 1% are delivered to the country: Report"

"The physical delivery of products sold by Nvidia to Singapore represent less than 1% of Nvidia’s overall revenue,” Tan See Land said. He then added, “It is common practice for global entities to centralize the billing for procured goods and services in their hubs, but this is separate from where the products are shipped to so far from our checks.” This is despite reports saying Singapore accounts for nearly 28% of Nvidia’s revenue for 2024."

As reported, NVIDIA Singapore HUB recorded 28% in sales revenues basing on only 1% physical delivery, could that be implying solely for tax avoidance purposes?

How NVIDIA 28% sales profits around US$ 7 billions with only 1% physical delivery in Singapore being booked and accounts for corporate taxation?

"Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan's Oral Reply to Supplementary Question on Singapore's Role as an International Trading Hub"

"The next highest source is actually Singapore, with around US$7 billion, and it is more than that for China, which includes Hong Kong, at US$12 billion.

This means that Singapore accounts for around 20% of NVIDIA's global revenue.

It could mean foreign traders or merchants were using Singapore as a base to purchase or acquire the chips under International trade rules and have them shipped to other countries which could be China. These international trades r governed by WTO and not by trading countries. Such trade might not have been banned by WTO. Looks like a loophole.

Since there's no evidence and confirmation of smuggling via Singapore

Do you agree Singapore to issue POFMA against Trump and his Admin for falsehood.

there is no official announcement, it is by Bloomberg citing their sources

U.S. officials are investigating whether Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek skirted American export restrictions on advanced chip sales and bought advanced Nvidia (NVDA) semiconductors through third parties in Singapore, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Nvidia said it makes sure its customers adhere to regulations.

“Many of our customers have business entities in Singapore and use those entities for products destined for the U.S. and the west,” a Nvidia spokesperson said in a statement to Investopedia. “We insist that our partners comply with all applicable laws, and if we receive any information to the contrary, act accordingly.”

Using the word "Smuggling" as an accusation and implying illegal movement of goods.

If Singapore able to proof innocent, Singapore must issue POFMA and sue US Admin and seek damages.
