U.S. on July 25 urged China to stop enabling Russia's war in Ukraine during a UN Security Council meeting, prompting a sharp rebuke from Beijing, accused Washington of shifting blame & creating confrontation. "If China is sincere in calling for peace, should stop fueling Russia's aggression," acting U.S. Ambassador to U.N. Dorothy Shea said at @U.N. Security Council meeting.
According to Reuters, the acting U.S. ambassador called on all countries — explicitly naming China — to halt exports of dual-use goods to Russia, which are sustaining Moscow's weapons production and fueling its missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.
"Beijing's claim to have implemented strong export controls on dual-use goods falls apart in the face of daily recovery of Chinese-produced components in the drones, weapons, and vehicles that Russia uses against Ukraine," Shea said.
China's deputy U.N. Ambassador Geng Shuang rejected the accusations, insisting Beijing is not a party to the war and has "strictly controlled dual-use materials, including export of drones."

Based on the Defense Ministry's statement, unmanned systems drive much of this shift, with 95% of drone purchases now sourced domestically within Ukraine.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, domestically-manufactured weapons now comprise more than 40% of the total used by Ukraine.
Ukraine is currently seeking additional financing to enhance its military manufacturing capabilities, achieving considerable advances in drone technology.
Speaking to reporters in Kyiv on July 24, Zelensky indicated that domestic military production requires $25 billion annually to function effectively, and he is actively coordinating with Western allies to secure this funding.

Ukraine war briefing: Drones hit Russian electronic warfare plant & disrupt railway and air travel. Signal facilities Stavropol produce military radio and radar equipment; more attacks on Ukrainian cities including Dnipro, Sumy and Kharkiv. What we know on day 1,250.
Meanwhile. Ukraine’s drone forces were continue on attack on Russian strategic targets on Saturday and into Sunday. Hitting Drones continue to hit Signal radio and electronic warfare equipment plant in the Stavropol region, an official from Ukraine’s SBU security service told Reuters. 2 facilities at the Signal plant in the city of Stavropol, about 540km (335 miles) from the Ukrainian border, were damaged.
Videos online showed an explosion and a large column of dark smoke rising into the sky. The plant was one of Russia’s leading producers of electronic warfare equipment, including radar, radio navigation equipment, and remote control radio equipment, the official said. “Each such attack stops production processes and reduces the enemy’s military potential. This work will continue.”
Russia’s civil aviation authority said it again had to shut down an airport as Ukrainian drones attacked. Rosaviatsia said it suspended flights soon after midnight on Sunday at the airport serving the city of Volgograd, which is the administrative centre of the broader Volgograd region.
Ukrainian drones also hit a railway power supply in the Volgograd region, the administration of the region in Russia’s south said on Sunday. Air raid alerts were introduced in several other regions in Russia’s west and south, warning of Ukrainian drone attacks, according to posts by regional officials.

Russian forces have set up a reconnaissance drone production facility in temporarily occupied Luhansk, according to intelligence gathered by agents of the Ukrainian resistance movement ATESH, who also identified the location and collected detailed information.
The group shared the findings via its Telegram channel on July 30.
“Our agent conducted long-term surveillance of the Luhansk Aviation Repair Plant. The facility specializes in servicing aircraft equipment, particularly the repair of helicopter engines such as the TV2-117 and TV3-117, as well as main helicopter gearboxes,” the statement read.
In addition to its usual operations, the occupying forces have established a drone production line and a testing range on the plant’s grounds. One of the workshops also houses a training center for drone operators.

Strategically, the implications are far-reaching. Germany is asserting itself to lead NATO, not just as a regional power but as Europe’s military cornerstone. The move is a direct response to a shifting global order, where reliance on American defense no guarantees is increasingly uncertain. Chancellor Merz’s Germany new boss, is push to reflects both a commitment to NATO and a redefinition of Germany’s postwar role, from cautious participant to proactive guarantor of European security. Inside the Battle of Kostiantynivka, as Ukrainian forces brace for three-sided Russian best drone unit assault and Ukrainian brigades have had to adapt quickly to stay in the fight. As recently as 4 mths ago, streets of Kostiantynivka were full of life, the trademark signs of a buzzing front-line hub — from dozens of soldiers lining up for coffee and pizza after coming back from positions to hardy civilians living, working & playing as usual — the true war was close, but never quite here. Over spring & summer, Kostiantynivka turned into a city of shadows, w/military cars speeding down central streets on their way to positions, a civilians who have refused to evacuate shuffle between apartments basements, scavenging for essentials. In May, even most stubborn holdouts of Ukrainian civilization — the Nova Poshta post office & legendary Okko gas station — were forced to close after being targeted by Russian attacks. Driving through Kostiantynivka with Ukrainian soldiers, burnt-out vehicles — both military and civilian — are visible on the road side, while anti-drone net tunnels have been hastily erected on scattered sections of the roads in and out. W/streets emptied of almost all life, Kostiantynivka has begun in earnest: nearby to Pokrovsk, the city is a major roadblock for Moscow’s ambitions to take all of Donetsk Oblast.
As of August 2025, Russian forces have come within around 6 km of city’s outskirts, said open-source mapping project DeepState. The saturation of the sky w/strike drones on both sides has been a feature of battlefield in Ukraine for over a year, spring brought a new seismic shift to this front line: the arrival of elite Russian drone unit Rubicon, also operating standard 1st-person view (FPV) drones, Rubicon specializes in use of long-range fiber optic FPVs, designed to reach & consistently strike Ukrainian targets deeper in the rear than was understood to be possible. Meanwhile Ukraine’s own top drone units have done same, targeting all of Russian logistics chain making vehicle-based attacks & logistics next to impossible. Result: Deterioration of concept of front lines, replaced by a grey zone between 2 sides that gets deeper & deadlier every month. The Kyiv Independent spent 24 hrs with two drone best teams of Liubart Brigade, formed in spring out of 5th battalion of Ukraine’s legendary Azov Brigade. The main threat now to Kostiantynivka is coming from southwest, where a fresh offensive enemy try to push in spring punched across the T0504 highway, exploiting a weak link in Ukraine’s defense manned by less combat effective brigades..

What was meant to be a short trip turned out to be a 8 full days on war against enemy soldiers, especially w/drones, has become so intense that it’s often safer for Ukrainian soldiers to stay holed up rather than rotate out. For protagonists “Illich” & “Jerry”, war has already taken up most of their adult lives. Shared their values, & motivation to continue, these are all things they receive from their own, self-made communities, like “DIE HARD”, a militant straight edge group, whose members reject all types of narcotics. In this report, you will experience what it is like to be at war in Ukraine for eight straight days. You will also get an intimate look into thoughts of young men life, despite all horrors suffering around them, decided to tackle each day like it’s their first, and last.
