Japanese are mixture of East Asians from Korea & China and Pacific Islanders similar to Malays, that is why some of Japanese have dark skin and curly hair.

Is it exactly Alamak or ...

アラマック
Aramakku

I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

as reported previously that there are similarity between the language used in Bali and Japanese. There are also similar words used in Tamil and Japanese, even the grammars are similar. The reason being is when ancestor of modern Japanese migrated out of east Africa, they stopped over in Southern India and stayed there for hundreds of years before moving further to the east, along the way they stopped in Bali, Borneo, the Philippines, Taiwan and finally arrived in Japan, that was the first waves of migration....subsequently Yayoi people migrated from Korea and Eastern China to Japan, and mixed blood with locals and created modern Japanese race, Yamato.

Some words in all languages should have adopted others as people traveled over land or across sea in the past.
Eg Korean supposedly has some words that are similar to Tamil (the story of an Indian princess marrying to some Korean prince in past is probably true as they also practised the same dowry system for marriage where the lady need to pay).

And just searched Youtube, and saw this video of similarity between Sanskrit and Malay.

Modern Thai should also be a rojak of other foreign languages, eg Malay, Chinese dialects (number system).

And for new/introduced objects, the pronunciation of the originator will likely be adopted.
Eg Soap in French is Savon, while in Malay is Sabun and Thai is Sabu.

Or Mango in some Hainanese variants have almost the same sounding as the English word.
