We regret the decision taken by the #Singapore government to join Western anti-Russian sanctions that circumvent the UN Security Council and is contrary to the principled #position of the country #against imposing unilateral #sanctions.

We consider it runs against the friendly relations between Russia and Singapore as well as counter to the need of speedy and #peaceful settlement of the situation in #Ukraine, which the Russian Federation continuously advocates.

Over the weekend, there were air strikes followed by loud explosions and flashes of light that lit up the sky.

Everyone understands that food might become an issue, but no one is panicking and they are also buying in a very orderly fashion," he noted.

While most essential items have not run out, Mr Shen noticed empty shelves in the fresh meat and fish sections on Monday.

The sight of Ukrainian military vehicles on their streets is another reminder that life is far from normal, but Mr Shen said he has no plans to

There are at least nine Singaporeans currently still in Ukraine, eight of whom are in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and one who the ministry is trying to contact.

MFA is exploring options for them to leave the country if the situation permits, said Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan in Parliament on Monday (Feb 28).

The safety of Singaporeans is a priority, and MFA will help them wherever and however possible, he told the House in a ministerial statement that set out Singapore's response to the escalating conflict in Ukraine.

Wan to buay song also we are not the top few..

Japan nearer to Russia, and also first few to jump out.. So easier to disturb Japan..

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..
