Former UK ambassador Alistair Crooke who have connections on both sides said that during the 20 Oct strike Israel prepared 3 waves against Iran
But in the 1st wave when Israeli jets were over Iraqi airspace, 100km before reaching Iranian border, they were unexpectedly locked on by air defence radar of "unknown nature". The jets had to fire their cruise missiles into Iran from within Iraq. Israel then called off the other 2 waves
Very likely Iran had developed its own air-defence system of "unknown nature" by studying US fighter jets flying in Syrian airspace for years - the same type of jets which are flown by Israel
My point is, Iran already beat Israel. Israel is no match for Iran. Any major war with Iran will not be fought by Israel, but by the US. This is why US THAAD & troops are in Israel.
