Protective helmets are transported from Germany to Ukraine in two trucks. The Ukrainian ambassador in Berlin spoke of a symbolic gesture. Because of the ongoing fighting it should be handed over outside of Ukraine. 

The government pointed out that Ukraine had written to the Ministry of Defense asking for equipment assistance, citing helmets and protective vests as needed. According to the ministry, no specific quantities were requested.
