The question is how are they going to clear the nuclear waste?
Like Japan, dump into sea water near Sentosa cove

Looks like going the nuclear way is a must in future as the country advances in AI technology where large supply of power is imperative. Current source of power generation can never meet the power surge required by AI driven things.
Thinking is difficult, that's why most people judge

Current team high cost of electricity bill is a killer to AI progress.

Sg will be wiped out if there is a nuclear explosion.

World is turning to new forms of electricity to try to slow the overheating of the planet.
One U.S. company is marking another first in the nuclear power industry.
Westinghouse, the behemoth that helped industrialize America, has cleared preliminary hurdle to his a 5-megawatt microreactor tested in 2-years, Interesting Engineering reported.
The front-end engineering and experiment design phase has been completed, and the machine is one of three that could be evaluated at the world's first microreactor test bed, per a Department of Energy news release

Much depends on the size and type of reactors used to generate electricity.
I think...it may take a big plot od land...If
this Westinghouse micro reactors used molten salt?.
which can generate about 30 MW of power which can supply about 45 HDB blocks is safer than living next to a chlorine plant...

SINGAPORE: A key institute on nuclear energy research was boosted with a S$66 million (US$52 million) grant as it unveiled its new premises at the National University of Singapore (NUS) on Friday (Jul 11).
With the grant, S'pore Nuclear Research & Safety Institute (SNRSI) will expand its research into nuclear safety, NUS & the National Environment Agency NEA) said in a joint media release. The institute now has a 12,900 sqm building @16 Prince George's Park, which is part of NUS' campus.
Singapore has yet to make a decision on the deployment of nuclear energy.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong saying during Budget 2025. Govt will study the potential deployment of nuclear power & take further steps to systematically build up capabilities in this area.
He noted: Steps taken in this aspect, including agreements signed between Singapore and the US on civil nuclear cooperation. To this...S'pore has also announced plans to build a pool of about 100 nuclear energy experts in the medium to long run.
While thought to be unfeasible for S'pore in the past, nuclear technology has since advanced and small modular reactors (SMR) present a viable option for the land-scarce country, as they are a fraction of the size of conventional nuclear reactors and are safer.
S'pore is monitoring progress of SMR & other advanced nuclear technologies as possible energy options for the future.

Yes like a presents to us a viable option. Our PM Wong is watching carefully, for the land-scarce country like S'pore, nust look for as they are a fraction of the size of conventional nuclear reactors and all have to like of are fairly safely first come in play, b'cos something we call it as nuclear in Singapore small island.
