Money laundering is by one- Large lump sum

Condo is $1 million but must pay $500/ mth condo fees

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Condo fees $250 can liao. Much cheaper than stupid HDB TC fees. U know why?
HDB fees more of a scam. U pay for basically no benefits other than clearing your rubbish.

Of course Hdb flats must do catch up to the ever increasing psf of condos. Govt land tender keeps private developers to bid higher higher to sell higher higher. HDB flats got huge advantages:- bigger, come 99 years good chance of sers. Private shoebox condos flats come 99 years who is going to buy over? More likely return back to govt. You me not around anymore to see the BIG CRASH of private shoebox condos once lease expires in 99 years time.

I don’t think there’s anything mysterious about the whole thing. On a like for like basis, if one wants a similar location and square area condo, a private condo would have cost about 2 – 3x of the HDB.
 
If their budget is only  ~$1million, that same budget would have only gotten them a 70+ sqm condominium in a lousy location.

1. size difference
2. location/amenities
3. monthly maintenance

anyway, 1m can't buy any decent condo nowadays. with all misc, at least 1.5m

HDB only send one uncle to clean a few block of flats and basically simple sweeping that all.

Actually " downgrade " Earn Profits.

Some are condo owners , they sold their condo and downgrade to HDB , pay 1 million still got spare.
Some are landed property owner too downgrade to HDB.

I do have a neighbour who used to stay in Landed property. From what I know they downgrade due to son business close up etc need money to pay debts etc so they sold off their landed property pay off the debts beside buying a Resale HDB flat.
