Well it is a open book figures.

Other countries takes months or years to verify what is the Minister's wealth through corruption. 🤣
And the figures are always astronomical 🤭
In addition, all officers below queuing up in unofficially recognise enrichment 🤣🤣🤣

Some neighbouring countries ministers are the richest in Asia. Boleh la..Cheers..👏

It has bee argued that S'pore needs to pay astronomical salaries to recruit the most talented Ministers. However, this is likely to attract mercenaries who are not public service-oriented. Focusing solely on high pay as an incentive would lead to people entering politics for all the wrong reasons; they would prioritise personal gain over the good of the citizens.

Looking at the number of former Ministers hauled up on corruption charges in Malaysia, it is obviously far more dangerous to steal public funds and accept bribes. Our politicians know that the best way is to decide each other's salary benchmarked against the top earners in S'pore. It appears "legal" even if the pay is obscene i.e. a Minister's annual wage is enough to feed the average family for a lifetime.

Don't forget that high ministerial salaries create a sense of disconnect between the Govt and citizens. If Ministers are earning much more than the average citizen i.e. our leaders are able to earn the S'porean's average pay in 2-3 hours. This breeds resentment and makes it appear that they cannot appreciate the struggles of the man-in-the-street.

You don't compare doc and lawyer salary with average family in any countries. That's totally irrelevant.

We should compare the wealth accumulated by the Minister and Officials during their tenure in government service with other countries government's corruption gains.

Based on unofficial corruption culture and monetary gains observed in neighboring countries, these practices can significantly hinder the progress and development of the entire nation's citizens.

That causes more hardship for the general public.
One corrupted Minister gains for decades, can beat all Singaporean Ministers total income. It is a already proven fact.
Not to mention the rest queuing up behind for more $$$$$$$$.
That's the reason we witnessed China and Malaysia leaders forever vowing to wipe out all currupted officials. Never ending problem.

You can ask our good friends in Malaysia. They will tell you Singaporean Minister income is peanut compare to diam and M..🥜..🤣
Not to talk about bossku and many more swept under carpet.

There is no going back with obscene Ministerial wages since money politics has already attracted mercenaries in white (MIW) to earn an average S'porean family's lifetime of spending in 1 year.

And they have monthly allowances, too
