If all the reports are true, then 1 possibility is that the Ukrainian army shed their uniform and become "civilian" to fight against the Russian..
In that case, are they still deem as "civilian"??
Next time Sinkie land kena invaded and SAF issued M16 (coz SAR21 will go to the active/NS first) to old people like us to fight the invaders, are we deem as civilian or soldiers?
1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?

There's a huge incongruity over the war operations that is being reported in western media and all the other verifiable circumstential developments so far. From the way it's reported by US/UK, it seems that the Russians are screwed up everywhere and incurring huge loses everyday due to the heroic resistance of the Ukrainians and its "Dear Leader" Zelenskyy.
However at the same time, somehow Ukraine seems to be slowly but surely ceding territory to the Russians everyday and more or less all the major cities are gone except for Kiev and Lviv (western end of Ukraine bordering EU). There is almost no news on what is happening to the Ukrainian army, no victory no loses no casualties no nothing essentially.
Then we also see Ukrainian leaders going around desperately seeking help from US and EU all to no avail. Now the hope is slowly turning into anger with pointed attacks and jeers by Zelenskyy on the ballessness of US and Europe. Even their ceasefire negotiations with the Russians every round they end up in a weaker position prepared to "give up more". The outcomes so far does not come anywhere near to suggest the Ukrainian army is putting up a brave resistance and teaching the Russians a lesson.
Another thing I notice in the past few days is the western media is toning down on all that heroic caricaturing of Ukraine and some seem to be insinuating that Zelenskyy is only putting up an act. This is a clear sign that they intend to cut Ukraine off soon and either there is progress in negotiations or they are slowly going to let the whole Ukraine topic die a natural death and move on to other matters.
