Told you SG too small for major roads / trains project.
Why you keep on insisting China has to invite SG?🤣

Australia very big with undeveloped ports. Quick grab a seat in BRI meeting.

BRI is more for those who need China's financial support to invest in their country.
Singapore I do not think we need China at least for financial support.

bri is both good and bad for the target country.
good no need to say too many talk talk already.

bad side. in a way china is taking part of the benefits of infrastructure development from the targeted country.
example a bridge may be partially building china then transported to be assemble by chinese company employing a mix of chinese and local. if those country has developed it wholely themself then they enjoy the full benefits of the infra buildings.

but then they have no money to start with. so maybe not so bad.

"Differing perspectives on the South China Sea territorial disputes, the nature of Singapore–US ties and Singapore’s unilateral military training in Taiwan have made Singapore a target for popular and sometimes official criticism in China. Beijing apparently snubbed Singapore by not inviting its prime minister to the inaugural Belt and Road Forum.

China also consistently warns Singapore ‘not to take sides’ when it articulates positions that depart from China’s, even when such statements simply reflect Singapore’s own interests. This suggests China’s preference for silence from Singapore on key issues."
