Hainan is really not a bad place to stay in - the Sanya district even handed out a chicken (together with other essential food items FOC) for those under lockdown.

Looks good but some people who went hainan to try said Singapore version is better.

Pretty island in the sun sand...only place in china grows durians n other tropical feuits...from airport to sanya, all coconit trees...these guys got flat head

Hainan chicken rice is better here. Went there to eat seafood buffet and normal local cooked dishes.
This way can save air ticket money to travel oversea. A lot of budget airlines there, pre-covid.
Haikou to Sanya distance is as long as 300 kilometers (187 miles).
So the best travel way is to take high-speed train for 1.5 – 2 hours at the price of CNY 100 – 108 for second class seat.

SG Hainan chicken rice & condiments definitely better, but the Wenchang kampong chicken meat more appetising.
