Near your place I think the only good one is daily hokkien mee at toa payoh.

Yeah TP Lor 1, I grew up from there when Toa Payoh Hospital was still around.
Tian Tian Hockien mee, I ate father fried one. The original stall was at the corner along a row of hawker stalls. 
Standard dropped a lot which is expected, but still good. I won't queue for it thou
