After I bought the durians at Sheng Siong, I told the staff I want it in Styrofoam box. He refused so I ended up with whole durian. I realise it was too far to walk home with 3 durians.

I asked him for paper to wrap the durian ..he reluctantly obliged. Wrap in a few layers.

Took it up the bus....Guess no problem as everyone wearing mask can only smell their own (bad) breath.

Made it home.

Will enjoy the durians later....

Yr durian cheap type poor cultivar type so taste not strong and thats why the smell is pale. After taste eating such not so satisfying.

Most stalls dont pack for you those cheap durians.

Cheap durians are like cheap stocks. It's harder to pick the good ones.

But I will show my hit rate once I start opening.

Looks fine. All look good. The left one is a bit spoilt. The number of seeds is few.

First one is quite good with a bitter taste ...ncely ripe.

You buy branded, top quality ones, most of the time, by weight. Only lousier ones by whole fruit.

one whole basket about 5 only 10
few small ones not bad, i throw away one big one not nice

but think sgbutt ones more worth than my basket
