Living in North island is better and warmer than in South Island.
Houses facing North are generally more expensive than others.
Queenstown is beautiful during Winter seasons
Milford Sound is spectacular - good experience.
Dunedin in South Island is common for livestock and cattle farming.

What happened, mate? You moved to NZ? It is very expensive and GST is 15%, and extremely windy and freezing cold in winter, the worst part is it is the most isolated place on earth.   Rolleyes

Anyway enjoy your new life in NZ and happy new year! Big Grin

Happy New Year to you

Several years ago, I was offered a 3 years contract to work in Auckland, NZ giving me Kiwi PR (I took another 2 years moving in and out to get Indefinite).
Quite easy to handle a small Kiwi team, given a new car and free office parking..little boring.
So, I didn't renewed upon completion as it's much too cold for me as well. ( Nose bleeding daily.)
I was living @ St Vincent St, Remuera

Some people have no idea what is Quality of Life. Waking up with the cool breeze, admiring the leaves changing color, having a good Govt that takes care of you and enjoying a beetle in the porch.

Those in the South are in the Roaring Forties belt. It is torturing to stay in such places.      Rolleyes
