It's hypothetical but you can expect the following.


1. You will hardly get any reaction from Singaporeans. We are not emotional people. Maybe a small number will post about it at a forum.

2. I don't expect any apology from Malaysians embassy. 

3. I don't expect Singaporeans to gather outside the Malaysian embassy.

4. Nobody will threaten to cut the filtered water We send to Johor.

Why would there be a difference of reactions from both sides.
Why does it tells us.

1. Singapore is often a convenient bogeyman for Malaysia. This is a habit created by Dr. M who often direct anger at Singapore when there is a problem at home.

2. Singapore represents what Malaysia could be but isn't. We are like tye boy in class with clean shirt and nice shoes comb his hair and top the class. It is human to pick on what seems perfect when the chance arises

3. This was a chance to vent against Singaporeans who developed a "superiority complex" over time. I find this somewhat true. Often Singaporeans think themselves as better much better than neighbor up north. But ghis may be an illusion and not so simple..

Relationship between people's is build in the minds of people. It changes when one changes perspective.

1. Malaysia should look at Singapore paving the way forward  for countries in the region towards 1st world status.

2. Singapore should understand Malsysia importance to us in areas of security and is a solution for our problems like scarcity of land which limits us.

3. Our fates are joined not separate. Our progress more and more will depend on the region. 

4. Singaporeans should leverage on the region and think regional. Our neighnors up north and also south have positive demographics, growing middle class and  faster growing economies. Its a long time for them to catch up but they will close the gap
