Good for them to fight for the market. If they can always play by the WTO rule books, we should benefit as a consumer.

Such an ambitious plan needs a long term supply of cheap energy

"Plan to snatch" and 'can do' are 2 different matters.

"linking those sites seamlessly to the nation's railway network, ports and airports" is exactly what India can't do.

Modi got Shinzo Abe to build a HSR and already a few years, little was done. They estimate it will have a 10-year overrun.

As labour cost in china becomes expensive in 10 years to come

Some business will flow to India, Indonesia, Myanmar . . .

Need to snatch, meh?

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Not quite sure y iphone 14 sale was down by 11 % but it’s iphone 14 pro model was up by 56%.  Some claimed tt moving plant to India affected the ties.  Not quite the case. Will look how the overall sale will b like

The reason why users going for iPhone 14 Pro is that it uses Bionic A16 whereas iPhone 14 still uses A15,  the older chips used in iPhone 13

For USD$200/- more,  users have a 4 nm chip vs a 5 nm chip which translates to faster speed,  lower energy consumption, etc.  Buying iPhone 14 is like buying iPhone 13 with performance slightly or no better than Huawei Mate 50 that uses Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.

Both China and India economies are doing well. India seems to be a country that sucks money in. The money keep disappearing.

Emerging economies include Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines. However, you need people to be present in the country due to their rules and regulations. Increasingly, people are thinking of operating remotely.

The returns are higher that USA, UK, Singapore and Australia. Matured economy. The high prices are there, but there is little buying and selling.

This is due to the culture.

Hurdles
India tends to move left, right and left and goes in. No means Yes, Yes means No. No, I don't need it. Just now, I said yes, I need it. The head can turn in a shape of 8.

Chinese tends to pay money and solve the problems. Thus, outsiders will tend to extract money by pressure methods.
Those that have explosive character are a result of from poor to sudden richness.

Westerner tends to fight for their rights, thus they are seldom being bullied. Locals already know them, thus it is hard to extract money from them.

India is humble? India is world no. what to get hit?

US climbed up first got to hit world no. 1 then was Great Britain. Britain down, US no. 1. After that US would hit world no.2.

US hit Siviet Union and then Japan in the 1990's. Japan is easily defeated into a 30-year recession.

India is not hit, not because of humbleness but it is far away from no. 2 position, not worth US effort to hit.

The CECA culture of rampant corruption, passing the buck, casteism and unwillingness to do what is right due to political pandering means all this is pure bullcrap and CECAland should just stick to producing cow dung cakes.

I thought Modi just said in beekok congress they will be no.3  (economy) soon.  Big Grin

In order to raise the living standard or earning more, Tiong has up value their products and services,
Indeer with a bigger population to feed, will definitely need to do the same,
If stuck in general stuff, there are many competitors from South East Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America etc

We are talking about very intensive competition here.  Big Grin

If India is that good they should have overtaken China long ago.

India have a long history too like China.

It's not born yesterday.
