Is Singapore getting uneasy about Thailand legalised casino resorts..

"Singapore could be uneasy after Thailand passed the entertainment complex bill, legalising building casino resorts in the kingdom, and is reportedly lobbying a foreign firm against investing in the project in Thailand, a high-ranking source told Thansettakij newspaper on Thursday.

The Cabinet on Monday approved the draft Entertainment Complex Business Act in principle, paving the way for legal casinos in Thailand, to generate additional tax revenue as well as boost the tourism industry.

According to Prime Minister’s secretary-general Prommin Lertsuridej, six unnamed multinational corporations with experience in managing casinos have expressed interest in investing in casino complexes in the kingdom."

Why acting so cowardly?

Singapore policy has always to encourage competition..

This protectionism is illegal..

"CCCS enforces the Competition Act 2004, and has broad legal powers to investigate and penalize infringing parties. It also enforces the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, which protects consumers against unfair trade practices in Singapore."

We do not need so many Ftrashes.

If not, how come karma also strike them as well.
The first man who proposed casino was the first person kena instant karma. Still remember who is he?

Not about casinos, we are just too organised and boring. Look at Bangkok, the city is so lively even without casinos. Not wonder they are the top tourists destination!

Why Singapore is getting uneasy about Thailand legalised casinos while ex PM Lee defended Taylor Swift executive performance solely in Singapore?

Let's listen to ex PM Lee's good reasons that it's not "unfriendly"..

Suggestion
Thai Govt should give incentives to LV Sands to setup Regional HQ in Bangkok in order not to disadvantage MBS operations in Singapore.

This is not unfriendly becoz the money comes from Covid19 funds to grow Thailand's economy and bringing.more international travelers to Thailand.

Very logical and valid reasons.

It's time for pap to issue more licenses.

Pulau ubin, pulau tekong and mandai safari deserve to have a casino resort each.
