Don't forget........don't CONVENIENTLY forget....when your Mao's mental problems had become so serious as to render him unfit to be President (or Chairman if you like), he held on to power only to be manipulated by that heroine of yours.  Do you want to also deny this? Rolleyes

Not every old person will become demented but it is a common enough disease anywhere in the world.

We all sexperience different medical issues in old age...some of these might be the same, but some would be different.  For eg, some peepur may have diabetes, while others have high blood pressure.  Some may have Alzheimer's while others have Parkinson's.  Some have a stroke, become wheelchair-bound or worse, bedbound, others lose their vision completely due to glaucoma..

生老病死.

The 3rd character which comes before the 4th and last is scary.  Nobody wants to go through that but nobody can escape that, save for those who die of sudden death or who end their life prematurely.

Biden's trying to "out-entertain" Trump? Trump is actually quite entertaining with his clownish acts but Biden's act looks ...... sad?

b) Biden chose to visit ASEAN's Communist Country while he skipped ASEAN Summit in Jakarta hosted by ASEAN's largest Democracy...

a) Yes, the increasing frequency of such public embarrassments certainly does not help Biden’s re-election.

b) Indeed the decision to skip Indonesia and target only Vietnam is somewhat unusual. I suspect this is a sign that senior policy makers in US have already written off any possibility of convincing any ASEAN country to join them against China.

In such a context, it makes more sense to visit Vietnam to generate some news over SCS rather than waste time on Indonesia. Not that Vietnam would be any different in actual outcomes, but at least this country allows Biden to tell the world that US still “cares” about the SCS issue.

ASEAN has basically decided that the SCS is no longer an issue – this is very clearly seen in the fact that nobody bothered to even speak up for the Philippines in this summit after they got whacked.

As for Malaysia and Vietnam’s diplomatic protest against the map, from the lack of any concerted effort to push the agenda in ASEAN, we can deduce that these two countries are merely going through motion and do not wish to pursue any further. Philippines is still sorting out what they should do next, but the USN's abandonment of them during the recent Thomas Shoal sagas has likely also caused alarm amongst certain quarters.

This is so weird, if not worrisome looking at the trajectory of USA....It is obvious the American voters found themselves having the choose between a Dumb or a Dumber after every successive Presidential elections... Big Grin
