I can see alot of win win proposition for Forest City. Without the development that placebos just a wasteland

There were some interest from the Chinese until Mahathir came into power again. He played up anti Chinese sentiments saying that FC will cause Malaysia to be taken over by the Chinese.
The human bear's curb on taking money out of China also dealt the whole project a death blow. FC would be a good place to park dirty money IF (in capital letters) real estate is liquid. But the truth about Malaysian houses is that it is not

It is picking up again, like the Stock Market. For the coming 5 years, it will be on the uptrend.
Their 6-7 rooms with a dedicated swimming pool each are very expensive. The management fee cannot take it.

SKANDAR PUTERI: Forest City, a mega multi-million-development project in Iskandar Puteri, has been designated a Special Financial Zone.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced this today, saying that the move aimed to boost foreign investment and simultaneously invigorate the economic growth in Iskandar Malaysia.
Anwar, also the finance ministry, said underpinning this initiative was a key provision to benefit knowledge workers (K-workers) within the special financial zone.
As knowledge-workers (k-workers), he said they would enjoy a flat income tax rate of 15 per cent with immediate effect.
