The Workers' Party (WP) asked the most Parliamentary Questions (PQs) per MP per sitting in Singapore’s 14th Parliament (2020–2024). According to the report, WP MPs consistently outperformed others, averaging 2.1 to 2.5 PQs per MP per sitting across the period. In comparison, Progress Singapore Party (PSP) Non-Constituency MPs (NCMPs) showed a sharp increase, reaching 3.9 PQs per MP per sitting in 2024, but their smaller numbers (2 NCMPs) resulted in fewer total questions. People’s Action Party (PAP) MPs averaged 1.1 to 1.4 PQs per MP per sitting, while Nominated MPs (NMPs) had the lowest at 0.4 to 1.0. The WP’s higher engagement reflects their active use of PQs for scrutiny, despite resource constraints compared to the PAP.
