The Bangkok–Nong Khai high-speed railway or Northeastern high-speed rail line is a high-speed railway under construction in Thailand. It is the first high-speed line in Thailand and constituent part of the Kunming–Singapore railway Central section. Its first phase, between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima, is due to open in 2023,[1] however, in July 2021, authorities said that "works which will have to be postponed are the [... tracks] between Nawa Nakhon and Ban Pho, between Phra Kaeo and Saraburi"; furthermore another postponement, "presumably until [... 2022 is] the section between Don Mueang and Nawa Nakhon".[2]

Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport has said it hopes to break ground on a high-speed rail link between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2028
if approval is granted by the country’s Politburo and its National Assembly.

I think the China railway company gives better terms than Japanese ones....so it may end up the contract go to a Chinese company, cos the Chinese are very competitive in the building of railway system....

The northern Viet has to join to Guangxi so likely there the contract will give to China. China has their technical standard...
