Don't know how the share prices can drop to cents. The shares were divided into fewer shares. New shares from unlisted companies were given.
Some came to Singapore to buy the option papers. Some went to KL to buy the shares.

Daim’s wife hits back at sensational report, says overseas assets not a secret...Tun Daim's wife, Toh Puan Naimah Khalid speaks to the media in front of the Malaysia Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarter in Putrajaya 10 January 2024. — KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 — Former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin’s wife Toh Puan Nai’mah Abdul Khalid today slammed an online portal for allegedly tarnishing her husband’s name by accusing him of wrongdoing and possessing properties that were allegedly acquired illegally.
Nai’mah said that tarnishing someone’s reputation by making implicit accusations and assumptions without solid evidence is wrong and unethical. “I refer to a news report published yesterday in an online portal claiming that so-called “leaked documents” reveal an offshore trust worth hundreds of millions owned by our family. “It was reported in a sensational manner, intended to impute some form of wrongdoing or possession of ill-gotten wealth.
“We have made no secret of the fact that we own assets abroad. These were the product of legitimate business and investment activities, going back long before Daim joined politics in 1984,” she said in a statement.
She also questioned the credibility of the news report as she said the author of the report did not suggest any existence of a criminal element. “Surely, in reporting news, it is neither ethical nor right to taint anyone’s reputation by incorporating innuendoes and imputations, unsupported by evidence.
“Isn’t this tantamount to character assassination under the guise of reportage?
“Further, in the absence of wrongdoing, is it justified to discuss anyone’s private financial holdings, whether those details are correct or not, in a manner calculated to suggest serious impropriety of some kind?” she asked.
She claimed news report was undoubtedly intended to fan the fires of prejudice, rumour, and supposition against her family or any person in their situation.

The probe into Mr Daim’s financial affairs is now spreading to corporate personalities believed to be his business proxies and deals that he personally administered over when in government, including the closure of the over-the-counter stock-trading system in Singapore called CLOB in 1998.
KUALA LUMPUR: Embattled former Malaysian finance minister Daim Zainuddin has been taken ill at a time when the investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is spreading beyond his family’s financial holdings and into the affairs of his business proxies, high-profile corporate personalities and a large cross-border corporate exercise with Singapore in the late 1990s.
Meanwhile, a separate fight is shaping up in the Malaysian courts. The High Court on Tuesday (Jan 16) heard arguments from Mr Daim’s lawyers and government prosecutors over a suit filed by the former politician’s family for an order to compel the agency to halt all investigations against them, lift the seizure of Ilham Tower and return all documents and material that have been seized during the course of the problem

The scene outside the Ilham Tower in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 22, 2023 after the Malaysian Anti-Coruption Commission (MACC) confirmed that they had conducted a raid at the building. (Photo: CNA/Fadza Ishak) Mr Tommy Thomas, Malaysia’s former Attorney General who is representing Mr Daim’s family, argued that the former politician was being subjected to an investigation under laws that were formulated after he had retired as a public official.
“Furthermore, Daim is already 85, and he may not remember events of 25 to 26 years ago, and this is unfair and may prejudice him,” Mr Thomas said.
Senior federal counsel Liew Horng Bin protested, arguing that there was no statutory limitation for the investigating authorities to investigate a purported crime and a ruling in Mr Daim’s favour would open the flood gates to halt other ongoing investigations.
Judge Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh said that he would deliver his decision on the suit on March 4.
CNA understands that the frail and diminutive Mr Daim, who suffers from kidney-related ailments, was admitted last Friday into a private hospital in the outskirts of the capital Kuala Lumpur.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 — Former minister Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim today declared that he has been cleared of any ethical misconduct in relation to Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 2022 final appeal at the Federal Court against his SRC International conviction.
In a press statement published on the Malaysian Bar website, Cheah accused Zaid and the other two lawyers of acting unprofessionally when the Federal Court was hearing Najib’s appeal to set aside his SRC International conviction and sentence of 12 years’ imprisonment and a fine of RM210 million, on August 19, two years ago. In her public censure, Cheah claimed the trio’s conduct amounted to an abuse of the judicial process and brought the system into disrepute, and the lawyers involved should face disciplinary action.
Najib had appointed Zaid’s law firm on July 25, 2022 to replace Shafee & Co which had been representing him in his RM42 million SRC International case. At that stage, Najib had also replaced his regular lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah from the law firm Shafee & Co with Datuk Hisyam Teh Poh Teik of the legal firm Teh Poh Teik & Co.
Najib abruptly dropped the three lawyers from Zaid Ibrahim Suflan TH Liew & Partners after the Federal Court refused their request for more time to prepare for the appeal.
Najib lost this appeal on August 23, 2022 when the Federal Court unanimously upheld the High Court’s decision to convict him on all seven charges of abuse of power, criminal breach of trust and money laundering, as well as the sentence of 12 years imprisonment and a fine of RM210 million

“At the Security Council, the Foreign minister will reiterate Malaysia’s call for an immediate ceasefire, oppose the continuing forced displacement of Palestinians and stress the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian aid to address the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
“Malaysia will demand accountability for Israel’s flagrant violations of international law,” Wisma Putra added. Mohamad is set to champion the recognition of the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations.
This effort aims to uphold their inherent rights to self-determination, national independence, and sovereignty, which have been persistently withheld.
The proposal advocates for a two-state solution, grounded in pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem designated as its capital. The Foreign minister is also scheduled to meet United Nations secretary-general (UNSG) Antonio Guterres, to express support for his latest call for rapid, safe, unhindered, expanded, and sustained humanitarian access into and across Gaza, the statement added.
“Malaysia acknowledges the ongoing multilateral efforts to address the ongoing situation in Palestine. Carrying the voices of Malaysians for Palestinians, the Foreign Minister will also hand over special postcards from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and members of Cabinet, addressed to the UNSG, urging the United Nations to accept Palestine as a full member state while reiterating the call for an immediate ceasefire,”
