Let's propose to build a LRT to fc from Tuas station.

The officials there want to eat money. Main reason.

No plans for casino in Forest City, says Anwar..

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today denied any plans to open a casino in Forest City, Johor.

“Not true, not true. Casino licence… That’s a lie,” he told reporters while holding out his arms in an X sign.

A LRT is like a feeder bus.

Between 2 countries, I think a full size train would be needed for the load.

A LRT would be good to link up FC within the town but this is Malaysia after all, and outside of FC, the population density is too low to generate the ridership.

We won’t know what kind of risks wil surfaced. Many robbers will be waiting to prey on gamblers who left casino. I won’t dare to go such high risk place. I remembered I was gambling at Genting Highland casino and won quite big amount of money at abt 2.00 am. I left casino and felt someone is following me. I u-turn back to casino. That guy must hv saw me claiming my chips at cashier.

See ? You already lost the bet whenever M'sian make promises that they cannot keep (HSR, Iskanda etc etc)

Let's be honest - Your $ is far safer with more reliable and reputable country just next door...like SG.

Else why would Sands waana expand by adding another tower beside existing world famous MBS ? Big Grin

Yes Genting will be taking a high risk for that kind of huge cost project. And China already sounds out warning for her citizen in gambling.

The island infrastructure is another risk in future soil settlement process.

There is zero hope to for new infrastructure connection between SG and JB. Not to talk about FC. Totally impossible.
Except for maybe a ferry transport arrangement which will be remote too...

PAS will also be another huge obstacle for casino licensing....

Having a jb casino will suck the sing dollars out of sillypore!
No levy fees will encourage Singaporeans to visit!
Forest City will be bustling with people and activities . Home prices will be driven up!

this rumours is just to trick stupiak people into buying their vacant units in the hope of future developments. Who will take the bait?

It will only attract gamblers ... wont save forest city lah
Forest city quite out of the way. If they build a LRT to Tuas Checkpoint ... maybe the save them
Also forest city reclamation did not let the land settle before they build ... maybe will sink

Put out the news, sell-off all remaining apartments and collect stamp duties, then scrap the plan. Cycle repeats.

For Forest City to be successful, most likely the Malaysian Government will have to take control of the whole development. Crook M. had planned for it. Destroy the value first and take over later by his cronies. This is Crook M's special skill. Now, he is under investigation for those values that he had destroyed.

Many years back, most of the developments in JB were half built with wild grass growing from them. It is only in recent years that they have succeeded in building up buildings.
