See, as I always said.
Malaysian or Ex-Malaysian are the ones driving Singapore vehicles across the Causeway back to their families.

They are the one whom need the Causeway more than anyone else. Cheers!

Malaysia's VEP is a good system for the government of Malaysia to track all foreign vehicle's owner status and particular. And of course, collect more $ for them to enjoy Malaysia's roads infrastructure. Well Done!!!👏👏👏

Last time registered but never collected the RFID, it opens during weekdays and at certain times. Now details changed, and insurance expired. Most of the things can be updated except for the insurance.

I guess
1)They will open a foreign employment bureau and ask Malaysian to register

2) Ask Them to open Foreign currency account with Malaysia Bank to remit the monthly salary.

If this happens Malaysia currency will appreciate dramatically against USD, SGD and other currencies.

With the VEP records, they will know which Malaysian driving Singapore car.
Snapshot!
They will be invited to submit income statements from Singapore.
Game over.

The Malaysian government losing $billions per year for subsidy in petrol, medical, chicken, egg, foods, water, energy, etc...

So millions earning foreign currency but living in JB enjoying all the perks.
This game will be over soon..

They earn so much money in SG

Pay VEP to their own Govt is nothing wrong

I support!

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

The VEP collection is peanut comparing to the Malaysian lose $ in subsidy. Subsidy has been the relief for Malaysian workers with low salary to live comfortably.

But the Malaysian working in overseas but taking advantage of it in JB is taxing the system.
Causing the locals living and working in JB to falls out of the race in income level and thus the rising cost of living.

If you work and live in overseas, it is still reasonable for not taxing you in Malaysia.
However, if you work in overseas and your family live in JB, enjoying all the subsidy.
Then it is reasonable for Malaysian government to tax your foreign income.

US already taxing her citizen earnings in overseas. In work or investment.

Time to rectify.
Brain drain is another issue. That's related to income level in Malaysia.

If Malaysia initiates Changes, Should SG bring more people from India and Bangladesh?

Singaporeans are like money bags, bringing money to Malaysia to spend. Now, looking at East Malaysia.

Malaysia can start Worldwide Income Tax

Or just increase VEP from MYR20 to MYR200 (Only S$65 to pay )

Or set headcount toll fees at MYR60/ pax

They should work with Singapore LTA, build a ERP Gantry at causeway, zipping $ instantly once vehicle crossed it.
Fast, efficient and collective data instantly.

Can increase amount anytime they wanted.
For example in peak time period with long jam.
Per entry jumps to MYR 300.
For low key period, per entry drops to MYR 30.

CONFIRM NO MORE JAM...YEAH!!!

If a govt is weak in raising income through taxs. The public servants will not have a good income because govt is poor.
Corruption is unavoidable.
In the end, commoners suffering too.
