Singaporean motorists have voiced their frustrations over the difficulties in securing the necessary permits, which includes complicated online registration process and the difficulties in securing appointments for RFID installation, which may leave many unable to meet the Oct 1 deadline.
This is anticipated to cause a ripple effect on Johor-based small, medium entrepreneurs, with a huge number of Singaporeans opting to postpone or cancel their travel plans to the state.

Go spend your money in other countries lah. Many other countries are more worth it once you factor in the risk of customs delays, car thefts, kopi money payable etc.

No worry, the VEP will be postponed and postponed, maybe for good. Remember the last implementation about 5 years ago and they still cannot solve the many problems. Then change of Gov and change of implementation so that they can get new under-the-table $$$
