More than 20 explosions heard: Cars ablaze in massive fire at Golden Mile Tower rooftop carpark

Multiple vehicles parked in close proximity on the rooftop carpark were on fire. They appear to be of the same make.

On 31 August 2024 at about 12:50pm, SCDF was alerted to a fire on the rooftop of a multistorey carpark at 6001, Beach Road.
The fire, which involved multiple cars at the carpark, was extinguished by SCDF using two water jets.
About 45 persons were evacuated from the premises by the police and SCDF.
Three persons were assessed for smoke inhalation, but they declined to be sent to the hospital.
Preliminary findings indicate that the cars involved in the fire were not electric vehicles.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
