Malaysia indigenous population form the majority and has pushed for.special rights. Okay this is clearly unfair but the logic is if the majority race falls too far behind economically....they will use their democratic power and majority to push to repress minorities. The special rights serve as a way to prevent a worse situation from.happening...look at what happened in Indonesia during Asian crisis the racial riots broke out...Chinese were targeted.
While there is some.logic I tend to think the alternative is better to have multi raciallsm and democracy. Those who have fallen.down ecoomicqlly whether they are Malay or Chinese will use their power to equalise..since Malays form the majority they naturally hold more power in a.democratic system and naturally coalesce with Chinese and other races who have the same need for scio economic changes.
Keeping their current system is just building a racially fragmented.society
The reasons of majority race falls too far behind economically in Malaysia and Indonesia are because they are stupid plus lazy
