My friend just bought a Nissan few weeks ago and claims it is much cheaper than similar models from Toyota and Honda. When I told him that Nissan might expire before his COE, he says no problem as Japan government will bail out or Toyota / Honda will take over with no disruption.

I'm not sure I share his optimism.
