Reported Norwegians are far more highly educated than Singaporeans and that's proven with Norway's SWF performing ROI US$213 billion in Y2023 beating both GIC and Temasek combined.

Norway is one of world's liveable countries..
Singapore is far from it even ranked among democracy countries in the world

How is wealth being measured?

Amount of reserves?

Raw GSP?

Per Capita?

Beta Coefficient?

A country where its wealth is distributed and shared among 95% of its citizens is better than one with the same amount of money where the wealth is in the pockets of 20% of its citizens.

S'pore has greedy politicians who won't come forward to "serve the nation" if they are not paid a minimum of $1 million per year.

Up to 80% of S'poreans live in public housing which belongs to the HDB (landlord) so genuine home ownership is extremely low at 20% of the population.

So HDB flats are a depreciating "asset" like cars in S'pore.  Wonderful!

There are private condos which are 99 years leasehold too, for eg Bayshore Park. You want to tell the HOME OWNERS there that they don't own their flats?!  Rolleyes

I guess it is education time once again for you. Residents of a 99-year-leasehold condo unit possess a strata title to the property i.e. they have ownership over the land where their condo sits on as well as the swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, function room, carpark, BBQ pits etc. The residents of that development may ban together to initiate an en bloc sale to a developer well before the 99-year-lease is up. HDB dwellers have no ownership over the piece of land where their block is located nor the surrounding common areas because they are tenants of the landlord, which is the HDB.  Do you understand now?
