Why is fighting terrorism so important?  Terrorist attacks target civilians like the 7 Oct 2023 incursion by Hamas, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent Israeli lives. That attack, kidnapping, rape and torture caused immense psychological trauma for survivors, victims' families and Israel as a country. Hamas started a war, and now that they are losing it, accuse Israel of human rights abuses. Terrorism destabilises govts, disrupts economies and erodes public trust in Islam as a peaceful religion. Terrorists seek to undermine the rule of law and democratic principles. Their actions violate human rights, including freedom of speech and religion. Terrorism challenges established international order and threatens global security. Moderate Muslims must promote education, tolerance and intercultural dialogue to foster understanding and reduce the appeal of extremist ideas - not empathise with terrorists because of a shared religion.

Why are "moderate" Christians like you completely silent about Israeli violence on Palestinians & Lebanese many of whom are also fellow Christians?

Its because you are a Zionist Christian & of your shared religious belief with Israelis.

So, quit the hypocrisy

Do not forget the issue of justified self-defence which features prominently in Israel’s case. When a country is attacked, it has the right to defend itself and its citizens. Do not forget that Hamas started the war on 7 Oct 2023 which has caused deep trauma to the whole of Israel. The terrorists slaughtered more than 1,200 civilians and took around 250 captive. There is no genocidal intent by Israel which just wants to get its hostages back. The atrocities committed by Hamas do not justify violations of the law in response. Israel just exercised the legitimate and inherent right of a country to defend itself. This is enshrined in the UN Charter. Let us agree to disagree: Muslims will continue to empathise with terrorists because of a shared religion, while most of the rest support countries with the balls to hunt terrorists down.
