Drive 12 hours a day and work 7 days a week? One day he'll not be able to take it.

Not really sure what's so impressive about this. Even if the S$11,200 per month is true, if you deduct expense items to match a normal salaried worker like for like:
1) Car Rental - $600 per week translating to $600 x 4.35 = $2,610 p.m.
2) Fuel - 30 trips daily x 15km x 30.5 days + 10% idle roaming = 15,097km. Fuel cost = 15,097km / 15km per litre x $2.40 per litre = $2,415 p.m.
3) Employer CPF Contributions - $6,000 x 17% = $1,020 p.m.
Nett Monthly Pay (like for like with Full Time Employed Worker) = $11,200 - $2,610 - $2,415 - $1,020 = $5,155
He claims to work 12 hours everyday so that means his average monthly work hours is 12 x 30.5 = 366 hours
Hourly wages as a Grab Driver = $5,155 / 366 = $14 per hour.
Many retail assistant basic wages are already going for $10 - $12 per hour these days. Not to mention they come with benefits like medical, annual leave, free meals, staff discount etc. Retail jobs are also usually paid additional amounts in the form of OT ($15 - $18 or $20 - $24 if PH), monthly incentives if shop KPIs are met and some even come with AWS and annual bonus.
If you work out the Math, supposing a super xiao on Retail Assistant go and tell his boss he is willing to work 12 hours everyday, then chances are that he/she will actually get more than the $5,155 earned by the Grab driver anyway.

Exactly. Grab driver, no medical insurance, no leave, no bonus, no leave, no MC …… the biggest drawback ….. no future no health

Yea, I reckon he can sustain this intensity for at most 18 - 24 months before chronic medical conditions set in. Very soon all the money earned will be funneled to the hospitals and clinics.

For all you know it's Grab who seeded this episode so they can lower the rates or cut the incentives... One fake driver's success determines the lowering of income for the rest... Very worthwhile deal. Lol And taxi companies will follow suit with higher rentals.. lol

Actually I don't think there's anything fake in the Grab story, logically it works out right. The only thing he left out is all the adjustments needed to bring down the gross income to a proper employment income for comparison.
The poor guy is in fact being underpaid for the hours he is working compared to even a basic Retail / Warehouse Assistant job, the fact that he is so yaya papaya about it and actually thinks he got a good deal means that he's too dumb to even do simple Math and deserves the exploitation by Grab.
The main advantage of doing app-like piecemeal jobs like PHV, food or e-commerce deliveries is they provide a lot of flexibility, you can start and stop at your whim. It's completely idiotic to go for such jobs if your intention is to work maximum hours without rest - you get no flexibility, end up with lower pay and miss out on CPF contributions and other benefits.
