Sinkie take train ish always on the rush mode either cheonging to work\school or go home, even no rushing will eyes glue to their phone only. Only AMDK and tourists can be so free will slowly walk walk and see see look look. 
There was a time when the country asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things.
But now, they'll only do it for money.

I think when most people are in the MRT stations, he or she will encounter crowds of people unlike those photo images where humans are absent. These crowds will distract as one tries to avoid them. I guess a lot of people will not notice such designs due to the crowds.

This one in Kaoshiung was named the most beautiful in the world. It has a very colourful dome. Other than that, it's pretty much basic, just like any other mrt station.
My source is 12 years old, and so I don't know if it still holds the title.
