"SINGAPORE: The Progress Singapore Party (PSP) on Sunday (Apr 6) pushed back against the government's strong warnings over newly announced US tariffs, calling the response “overblown” and suggesting that it could be an attempt to stoke fear ahead of the General Election.

Party chairman Tan Cheng Bock went further, suggesting the government’s rhetoric might be aimed at swaying voters through fear."

Simi concerns ... Does sg produce anything of economic value to export to US?

Oil refineries sold and vacated.
Bio how much value when USA produce mRNA faster
Semicon not much compared to neighbours
Cannot be SFI food
Newwater haosiao compared to their own mountain springs, ice and lakes
Computing can't be when they have legions of hackers and softwares
Sell weaponry to USA? Really?

Entreport middleman charging fees and tariffs on goods to US passing through our ports and air freight? This is the 10% that will get eroded?

Negotiate new trade deal with exporting of 10tonner load of generals? To address the erosion by turning inwards to up gst and tariff own population?

The million dollar trade minister don't know high tariff countries will seek out low tariff countries to sign really free trade deals to intermediary push their exports??
