Palestinian president presses US to secure Gaza ceasefire as refugee camp struck

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas demanded an immediate Israeli ceasefire at a meeting with top U.S diplomat Antony Blinken on Sunday, as Gaza's health ministry said dozens died in a strike on a refugee camp overnight.

Blinken, who has repeatedly dismissed the idea of a ceasefire by Israel for fear it would benefit Hamas, was making an unannounced visit to the occupied West Bank, as part of effort to try and ensure the Israel-Hamas war does not spread in the region.

His visit to Ramallah took place as people sifted through rubble for victims or survivors at the Maghazi refugee camp refugee camp in Gaza. read more

As mentioned, Gaza must be flattened. If it is not flattened, there will be more terrorists moving there to create more problems for the Israel residents.

Get rid of terrorists once and for all

Hmm...
Strange, why don't Palestinian president press harmas, the govt of Gaza, to release the 200 hostages?

Which is easier to settle? For the sake of Palestinian.

Gaza could see return of PA in case of a ‘political solution’, says Abbas. As Israel seeks to destroy Hamas, raising the question of who would run the Palestinian territory after the war.

Palestinian Authority (PA) could return to power in the Gaza Strip only if a “comprehensive political solution” is found to the Israel-Palestine conflict, according to PA President Mahmoud Abbas.

Abbas on Sunday met with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is on yet another tour of the region as Israel’s deadly military campaign in Gaza nears a month.

PA should be the Government of Palestine. That's is not a problem.
But they have to control their people, the Palestinian.

Stop Harmas from taking over Gaza and the Palestinian. And keep on fighting with Israel. No peace at all.

Demonstrations in Tacoma, Washington, are the second to greet the supply ship, after similar protests in California.

Abby Brook is Jewish helped organise Monday’s rally. Her visits to Israel and occupied territories in the West Bank and Golan Heights inspired her activism.

“When I was 18, I went to Palestine, and I saw the realities of the occupation and settler colonialism on the ground. I saw the checkpoints, I saw and talked to people about their experience of being displaced in the Nakba,” she said, using the term for the mass displacement of Palestinians in 1948.
