This is what some people and the Govt do not know or refuse to acknowledge for many years. Remember the adopted daughter who took care of cancer mother and killed her father? Physically and mentally, you need 2 adults to care for 1 sick elderly.

Cooking meals aside, one person will suffice if proper beds and transfer equipment are used.
Seems like not the case for this Spore nursing home.
But 2 persons will definitely be needed if both caregiving and meals need to be provided, especially if night time care is also needed.
I have a relative who is facing big problem now as his single helper refuses to "work" night time and is also starting to rebel - eg cooking very salty dish(es) that cannot be eaten.
For future singles, humanoid caregiving robots will be the best option.
Prior to that era, euthanasia will be the best option now for those who are bedridden permanently imo.
