Ok but you were replying to my post directly.
Sure they are different that's why I said VB didn't lie but told an untruth that is material at that time. They should clarify the falsehood immediately but no. Nothing until Desmond Tan brought it up. Yet they are asking why WP didn't clarify immediately ??
As for RK, PS already said he expects her to clarify the truth after she settles her personal issue. Is it so hard to understand?
Maybe PS was too lax, not firm or strict enough but at least he told her to own up.
If PS had told her to carrying on lying, then it is a different story. So they need to prove it. If not, you cant say he is guilty.
VB? Act blur till Desmond Tan brought it up. Why?

I quote your earlier post in this thread:
Quote:Why VB tell falsehood in parliament regarding TT, no COP ? Should have COP so that we know the full picture, not hide.
Fair and square.
I'm just telling you they are two matters of very different nature. A COP over TT? Come on, one is about lying in parliament and the other is just pure ignorance of information. How can we even compare the two?

Now you quote a different post. Don't think I was replying to you? Ok. I admit that was posted in haste. There are different insofar as RK admitted she lied but VB didn't.
I said falsehood, meaning not true. I didn't say vb lied on purpose. Maybe he did, who knows? Only he knows. But we all gave him the benefit of the doubt, because he is a minister? I dont know.
Now back to what I asked. Why no clarification from VB until Desmond Tan asked? Isn't it worse? Trying to hide something material?

Who is supporting lying MPs? The MPs who lied must be punished, no doubt about it. It is wrong to support a person who lied, especially an MP.
But it is also wrong to support witch hunting the members of that MP's party just to bring discredit to that party. It is just a waste of resources and everybody's time.

What nonsense are you talking?
This is your own definition.
Untrue and lie, what is the difference?

There is no meaning to keep differentiating who is more wrong or more right. Both VB and RK were in the wrongs.

RK is just 1 of 2 bad apples that WP picked up but pap got many more bad ones.
Die hard supporters of pap still voted pap. Same, die hard fans of wp will still vote wp.
It is the middle ground that is the issue. Battle of the mid field starts now...

We need not put it into a survey and ask the public, but many will share my view. We could say that PS is unique and handles things different from other people, but the judge doesn't go by that line of thought. He will go by what a person will logically and normally do. For example, if a person has always been using his right hand to hold the spoon to scoop his food and he then tells the judge that in the crime scene he just so decides that he wants to use his left hand, will the judge believe it?
And there is not one, but a number of illogicalities in PS's statements.
Edit: After some thinking, a better example would be, let's assume that your subordinate and your good friend embezzled money in the company. Out of compassion, you told him that he can settle his family issues first before he accounts for it in the next board meeting. For a period of 2 months you did not question him on his status. Even the day before the board meeting itself, you did not ask him if he has settled his family affairs, nor ask him if he will make a confession in the board meeting the next day. And when he did not confess in the next meeting, you did not ask him why but instead assume that he didn't do so because he hasn't settle his family affairs. You also did not ask him to make a confession in the next day (which also has a board meeting).
Now, tell me, does this sound logical?
There is no analogy that fits a rape case and the person telling the public the truth is the rape victim.
If it was a fraudulence case, I will side ET line of argument and press for WP to be punished for late reporting since they already knew it way upfront.
Rape and victim of rape is the not normal element to the case.
Again what's so not normal to RK case is that she was so troubled by it for a couple of months but now so readily and OK to go public with it. Also turned key witness against WP for their so call lapsed... Now that's extremely illogical to me...

The problem is that Singaporeans wants the best of both worlds, they want more opposition parties, but also want the ruling party to be in power, and enjoy the status quo.....

Yah something seems not right with her. Maybe WP is right that she has some mental issue.
I simply can't believe that WP senior members asked her to keep lying. What for? They jolly well know pappies will bite and not let go.

Go and see who started the reply. I'm not the one. So I find it strange when you replied to me then you don't expect me to retort back.
As I've said, there's a big difference in the two matters. For one, VB is simply ignorant about the law. The law is simply there and he just misunderstood it. What's there to gain for him by lying about it?

Who cares what other Singaporeans want? Most important is what you want, to let PAP continue in full power or reduce their majority?
