Sounds suspiciously like 99 apartment bombings. That time, local police caught FSB officers placing a bomb in an apartment building in Ryazan, bombings were used to shore up support for Putin who was tapped to replace Yeltsin. They blamed it all on the Chechens and used it as a pretext to level most of Grozny, killing hundreds of thousands. The person who benefitted most was Vladimir Putin. Who benefits from this "attack". Re-play on Karma lehh.

F-16 vs. Russia’s Best Fighter Russian Air Force may maintained very significant pressure on NATO-backed Ukraine. Russia has at least one major aerial advantage: the terrifying combination of the MiG-31 and its very long-range R-37M missile.

R-37M armed MiG-31 since October 2022, is main threat against Ukrainian AirForce reportedly shot down several Ukrainian aircraft, mainly by using the long-range R-37, in August 2023, an R-37-armed MiG-31 also used on Norwegian P-8A Poseidon too on Dec 2023, a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet was shot down by R-37M long-range air-to-air missile reportedly fired by a MiG-31. In August 2023, the National Police of Ukraine claimed that an R-37 missile had been used in an airstrike in Kramatorsk region. Ukrainian pilots hope the soon-to-be-supplied F-16 fighter jets armed with the AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles will be a defense missiles system.

Ukrainian drone operators surely couldn’t believe their eyes focused their cameras on Russian assault grp rolling toward Ukrainian lines outside Novopokrovka in southern Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia on March 30, seemed assault force included troops and vehicles from Russian airborne corps’ 76th Guards Air Assault Division, a once-elite formation with better training & equipment than most Russian divisions.

Something was off, tank leading assault wasn’t a T-72 or T-90, their standard tanks of 76th GAAD. No, it was a 1950s-vintage T-55 fitted with crude anti-drone armor, assault ended in disaster for Russians as Ukrainian 118th Mechanized Brigade opened fire with artillery, anti-tank missiles and explosive first-person-view drones, destroying at least 11 Russian vehicles, including that 40-ton, four-person T-55 with its crude optics, 100-millimeter main gun and 200-millimeter-thick armor.

That’s not what really matters. Russia’s wider war on Ukraine into its 3rd yr. After all, Ukrainian are defeating large Russian assault grps every few days all along 600-mile front line of the wider war—this despite Ukrainians struggling with ammunition supplies ever since Russia-friendly Republicans in the U.S. Congress blocked further U.S. aid starting in October. No, real story is a unit that was among best in Russian armed forces now deploys tanks that were obsolete 70 years ago

US has authorized Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands to transfer 65 F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets to Ukraine. Foreign Affairs Committee from US House of Representatives has a series of notifications on Feb proposing upto 65 F-16A/B  jets from Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands to Ukraine. Despite mentioning countries their intention to donate the aircraft, the estimated cost initiatives about USD 1.683.5 bil, includ spare engines, simulators, manuals, tools, and various materials for operatting & sustaining F-16s.

From summary, it revealed Denmark will make available six F-16 Block 10, thirteen F-16 Block 15 aircraft, additional engines, & equipment valued at USD 87.5 million worth noting Danish not only one of the promoters of initiative to provide F-16s to Ukraine but also one of the few countries training pilots and technical personnel.

Regarding Danish F-16s, the Argentina Defense Ministers & Nordic country recently signed a letter of intent to purchase 24 F-16A/B MLU aircraft, an acquisition process is expected to be formalized in coming weeks with signing of a contract. Royal Danish Air Force upgraded a total of 61 F-16A/B aircraft to MLU standard, reducing to about 44 aircraft a few years ago & is replaced by 5th next F-35A Lightning II fighters.

For Norway, transfer is up to 22 F-16 Block 10/15 aircraft, engines, equipment, test benches, tools, maintenance materials, simulators, spare parts, manuals, & technical doc's, among others, original value is about USD 1.326 bil has made available with a couple of F-16s for training Ukrainian crews, for forming a core group of instructors to support the Danish effort.

Finally, Dutch discussing, mentions 24 F-16 Block 10/15 aircraft as similar supplementary materials to Norway. So Dutch initiative involved transfer 18 fighters number would be expanded after decision to cancel sale of 6-aircraft to company name Draken.

Netherlands been another major proponent of the project to deliver F-16 fighters to the Ukrainian Air Force. In early mths, the Dutch was willing to transfer its F-16s to 3rd parties in order to release combat aircraft of Soviet origin, initiative did not come to life, a first step for the project of the previously mentioned European countries.

It's necessary to remember the idea of transferring F-16s to Ukraine did't have approval from U.S.A., Washington, It was plan that matured over time till it received green light, US has only committed to training Ukrainian personnel, leaving aside any intention related to the delivery of aircraft.

Ukraine war latest: Russian missile ship set on fire near Kaliningrad. The Russian missile ship Serpukhov, which was docked off the exclave of Kaliningrad on the Baltic Sea, was set on fire on April 8.

In a post on Telegram, the agency said that the fire had "disabled" the ship and that "its means of communication and automation were "completely destroyed." military intelligence shared a video appearing to show a fire breaking out on the ship.
A Ukraine's military intelligence confirmed to Kyiv Independent that its operatives were behind the fire. It was the first such attack on Russian naval assets in the Baltic Sea.

In recent months, Ukraine has intensified its attacks on Russia's Black Sea Fleet targets in occupied Crimea, successfully targeting several ships and forcing some Russian vessels to redeploy to safer waters.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for Ukraine's navy, said on March 30 that the Russian Navy had withdrawn nearly all its major ships from ports in occupied Crimea as a result.

According to the website of the Russian Navy, the Serpukhov is a Buyan-M missile corvette, and is 74 meters long (242 feet), and contains a variety of different weapons systems.

Russian authorities announced earlier on April 8 that the Russian ice navigation vessel Katerina Velikaya caught fire while undergoing repairs at the shipyard Dalzavod in the far eastern city of Vladivostok.

One person was killed, and three others were injured, Russian authorities said, adding that the circumstances of the fire were under investigation.
