Real-world study shows Sinovac effective against Delta variant
14-09-2021, 12:00 PM
The research found that two shots of the vaccines provided an efficacy of 59% against Covid-19 caused by the Delta variant, 70.2% against a moderate form of the disease and 100% against severe cases.
59% is too low for PAP to use for vaccination.

No choice.
PAP needs Modena and Pfizer which are at least 80% against delta variant.
Chinese medicine is too inferior.

In the study's time period, Moderna was 95 per cent effective at preventing hospitalisations among adults aged 18 and older, the authors said.
The Pfizer vaccine was 80 per cent effective while the Johnson & Johnson preventive was 60 per cent effective at preventing hospitalisations among adults ages 18 and older, they said.

People talking about effectiveness against symptomatic illness, not against hospitalisations.
If against hospitalisation, then Sinovac is 100%.
Still no?

The question is who conducted the vaccine effectiveness research studies and whether their reports are trustworthy. If it is from reputable medical institutions or renowned regulatory bodies and authorities, then their study results will weigh.
Many vaccine effectiveness studies using the real World are not studying vaccine effectiveness per se but the combined effect of control measures in which vaccine is just one of the control measures. Also, many vaccine effectiveness studies using real World data contain lot of unknown giving erroneous results.
US CDC has compiled a list of effectiveness studies from reputable medical institutions. Here are the references

What really matters is the protection against severe symptoms. Both p&m and inactivated ones do the job well.

So, what is the efficacy rate for Pfizer for delta variant? You are quick to post efficacy rate for sinovac for delta variant, but asked you for the same for Pfizer, keep on beating around the bush. You want to run around a tree instead?

Pfizer & Moderna is better limiting in spreading.
While Sinovac is better in preventing severe condition than mRNA.
Like wise Moderna work better against Delta variant than Pfizer
