.IF Singapore is recruiting auxiliary police from China, India & Philippines, why not soldiers?
"Singapore to hire auxiliary police from China, India, Philippines as local workforce shrinks. Singapore is looking to expand the jurisdictions from which it recruits auxiliary police officers (APOs), as the number from Taiwan has fallen in recent few years, Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam said.

This Govt has lots of money collected from Foreigners including PRs and which can be channeled to pay the soldiers. It is possible and a good idea.

If Govt can import foreigners as auxiliary police, there's no reason why Govt cannot recruit Gurkhas to replace NSmen..

Soldiers protect the decision makers lucrative salaries and lifestyles. Aux police tekan peasants, nothing to go wrong mah, doesn’t affect decision makers salaries and lifestyles mah.
