That SIA took up 25.1% share in Air India is baffling, wagering its own premium reputation on the Indians who are not known for efficiency & clean governance

You forget liao - Unlike Malaysian airline, in a Air India jet crash, the pax bodies can be recovered, not go missing Forever on a MAS plane...

SIA was allocated 25% shares in Air India after the SIA’s 49% shares in Vistara merged with Air India. SIA gained over sgd $1b cash from the merger. Presently, it is just a sitting partner in Air India. As air accident payouts r always covered by insurances, it is likely the present SIA price drop is just a correction. Likely resistance around $6.70.

Now this is even more worrying for SIA shareholders -

If SQ is nothing more than just a "sitting partner" in that South Asian airline business, then it nicely explains even after over putting US$320milloin into Air India which went private after Tata bought it from Indian gov in 2021, that 4 years later the airline continue to suffer from lousy services, flight delays, persistent image problem and worst poor maintenance level....The funni thing is the current CEO is an ex-SIA guy who began his successful career with the SQ from 1990s and now 30 years later he is facing the biggest SH!T with an Indian airline... Mr WIlson might be thinking he had made a bad bad career move...Big Grin

People still invest SIA stocks partly due to T5. For me better skip. Even go high also doubt will be like last time before pre Covi.

Now a days competition quite intensive come airline industries. Quite a lot air line provided straight route no need to stop at SG.

SIA climbed more than 16% since end April. A correction is not a surprise. The 0.168 Fibo is around 6.75. Strongly expected to renounce around there esp when oil price has fallen more than 5%
