I trust your testimony because it's straightforward. If someone claims to have ridden a flying donkey to heaven, met all the prophets, and negotiated with God, I might find that much more difficult to believe.

Each of us will go to hell or heaven based on our deeds and Beliefs.

If that dying person haven’t accepted his creator during his life time, He would still go to hell right .So He is trying to get Allah’s mercy.
If his Sahada is sincere, If haven’t done any major sins, Allah may shower his  mercy.
