Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." - Mark 12

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment." - Matthew 22

I'm sure you can see the difference.

So which Gospel, Mark or Matthew, is telling us the real answer from Jesus?

Was Jesus's answer with the Shema, as in Mark, or not, as in Matthew?

No, we can clearly see that the answer given by Jesus in Mark is not the same as in Matthew.

Assuming that Mark is correct, why did Matthew remove the Shema?

The messages are unison..why Muhammad is not interested in God's most important commandment?

Allah didn't teach him that? Or another entity taught him not?

I can say a lot of things you know...but I don blame you if you cannot get it word for word correctly..if you can get the gist, it is more than enough

If the author can change the words of Jesus in that case, what else was changed?

The core message was not changed....everyone interpret and express differently ..but we can see from the messages that they mark,Luke,Matthew,Joshua, deuteromy all agree ..

The only disagreement comes from the Quran
If you are afraid to answer just admit so..
I will spare your blushes

I think I know where you are coming from lah, bro! Big Grin The phrase "Hear, O Israel..." was written by Moses to the Israelites during that era lah! When Jesus said that statement, He omitted that phrase to include all Gentiles like us lah! We must understand the timeline lah!

So, assuming Mark is correct, that means Matthew removed the words of Jesus.

Why?

According to Mark, Jesus didn't omit that phrase.

So why is it different in Matthew?

It's okay if you cannot answer why Matthew changed the words of Jesus.

I suppose you also have no answer why Matthew changed the words of Jesus again in the episode below.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. - Mark 10:18

“Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. - Matthew 19:17

Ok. If Matthew didn't change the answer from Jesus, that means Mark changed it.

Which is it?
