Scripture readings for Christmas

(10 hours ago)Ali Imran Wrote:  The Quran says "ask those.. ". We can assume "those" were people like Abdullah bin Salam.

It never say Salam...why must Muhammad check with those who recognise his prophethood? Where did the Quran says that .

You cannot assume! Who taught you that? The Quran is a clear and fully detailed book! Your assumption is an insult to the holy Quran Big Grin

When the Quran says, "ask those who read the scripture..", it can only refer to those who read the scriptures before the Muslims there, ie. the Israelites. And it also means the Israelites who were with them because the other Israelites were hostile to the Muslims.

I didn't say our Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم checked with them.

Paul said Peter is wrong. Paul wrote to the Galatians to ignore the Gospels brought by Peter. Paul referred to Peter as an enemy.

Also James. Paul and James also disagreed. James said you're a fool for taking the teachings (sola fide) from Paul.

So, in the conflict between the disciples of Jesus and Paul, which side are you on? I'm asking you because yesterday, you lauded Jesus's disciples as trustworthy.

Quran 10:94, from Surah Yunus (Jonah), instructs Prophet Muhammad (and by extension, all believers) to consult those who read the scripture before him if they have any doubt about the revelation they have received.

It never mention Salam, the Quran never says ask the people of the book who recognise the prophethood, it never say ask those who were with the moslems Big Grin
You just suka suka add in your opinion but I have heard the exact same opinion from someone else...about Muhammad consulting Salam....some would argued that Muhammad never was in doubts so he did not need to ask the people of the books..

This is the confusion my friend ..don you realise it Big Grin

When the Quran says "ask those who read the scriptures...", it can only mean the Israelites.

Anyhow, let's not forget the crux of the matter, that you lied earlier when you said the Quran instructs our prophet to check the Jewish scriptures, in order to add weight to your Bible.

In the case of 10:94, we can assume it's the Israelites because there is no Christian community in Madinah.

When you accused me of lying with no proof, you are in fact telling a lie.

Who ask you to assume again and who says that there is no christian community in medina? The christian community is smaller than Jewish communities..why do you resort to lying again?

I've not heard of a church in Medina.

I understand you're hurt that I exposed your lies. Next time, don't lie.

Laughing A church can be make shift if the numbers of followers are small...a christian can pray anywhere..

For Muhammad to check if the message from Allah is good..he needs to check with previous scriptures if it is in line, because he is illiterate, he needs the "muhaymin" of someone who have read the books...that is common sense...
